Don’t run the marathon (or climb the mountain) and not cross the finish line! Apex School of Theolog

I received my bound, copy-written dissertation in the mail last week from Apex School of Theology. It goes without saying how grateful I am. I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving me the ability to begin the process and to see it through to the end.

I’m thankful for my husband Minister Curtis L. Robinson for his untiring support and dedication, my doctoral committee members, Dr. Luchara Wallace(chairperson), Mr. J. Barrett Lee, Dorla E. Coleman-Bonner, Dr. Janet Harris, Dr. Michael T. Scott, Sr., Dr. Tamara Scott, and Mr. Jay Harris Jermaine Harris as well as my former church family Galilee Baptist for participating in a significant part of the research. Likewise, I am thankful for my Apex Doctoral Mentors Reverend Dr. Lafayette Maxwell, Reverend Dr. Gladys Long, Reverend Dr. Cornelius E. Battle Sr., and Reverend Dr. Carol Bunch.

My dissertation was like my baby. Well, my baby now has gone through elementary school and the tumultuous teenage years and college. After three years of research, writing, fieldwork, presenting a Pre-defense, and a Defense; I had to back off and give it some space as I turned it over to the Apex School of Theology Quality Control Committee for the year review process. When it came back, it essentially did not look at all like the baby I once knew. It looked like a publication, a scholarly writing, not a dissertation. It was neat and mature and all grown up.

Now that the cake is baked, I’m going to put it in the oven. I am in the process of publishing my dissertation as a book and in scholarly journals. The publication will serve as a lasting legacy for all my tough efforts and sacrifices. It is my hope that my work will have a lasting impact on all that read it.

My Mantra – “The race is not given to the swift, nor to the strong, but to the one that endureth until the end.” Ecclesiastes 9:11

I thank the Lord for the strength, wisdom, and knowledge to put my findings on paper. May my sacrifices bring glory to God's Kindgom.

Peace and blessings,

Minister Dr. Pamela Robinson
